Unboxing!

I received the first few author copies of “The Swan Harp” a few days ago. This is one of the most exciting things to happen for me this year, and I wanted to share it with my followers.

The swan is a carving by my friend John Harsmworth.

This is the first time I’ve had a novel published. I worked with my publisher, Type Eighteen Books, for several months on final edits, formatting and cover design. I’d been writing this story for years, through multiple revisions, and even having it accepted for publication was a pinch-me-I-must-be-dreaming moment.

But this – this was a whole other level! I think you can tell.

There’s a final proofread still to be done, and we’re getting reviews from the ARC (advance reading copy) readers now. I’m so happy with the responses, and I’ll post more about that later.

The official launch date is April 2, 2024. I will be having a launch at the Thessalon Public Library on Friday, April 5th, 7:00-8:30 p.m. with a reading, some music by local singer-songwriter Rick Deevey, a Q&A and refreshments.

You can still pre-order from Type Eighteen Books (https://typeeighteenbooks.com/product/the-swan-harp/)
or ask your local bookstore to order for you. Buy indie if you can!
